Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

We process personal data in order to provide and improve our services, manage customer and partnership relationships, communicate with our customers and stakeholders, and market our services.

  • Performance of a contract (e.g. course registrations and customer relationship management)
  • Consent (e.g. newsletter subscriptions and marketing communications)
  • Legitimate interest (e.g. maintaining customer and partnership relationships and direct marketing)

Where Do We Get Information?

We collect personal information when you:

  • register for one of our courses or events
  • subscribe to our newsletter or email list
  • contact us via forms available on our website, by email, or otherwise communicate with us
  • participate in surveys, feedback collection or other communications related to our services

If you represent a potential partner organisation or business, we may collect publicly available contact information, for example from your organisation’s website.

We do not sell or give your personal information to third parties.

Data Processing Period

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Statement and to comply with legal obligations.

Information related to course participation may be retained for up to four (4) years for administrative, quality assurance, reporting and customer service purposes.

Newsletter subscription data is retained for as long as you remain subscribed to our mailing list. You may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our emails or by contacting us directly at info@lumiawellness.fi.

Transfer of Data Outside the EU or EEA

We use AWeber as our email marketing provider. AWeber may process personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States.

Where personal data is transferred outside the EU or EEA, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Lumia Wellness Oy does not otherwise transfer personal data outside the EU or EEA.
